Trunk Club was a high-end subscription-based menswear outfitting service. Once signed up, customers were paired with a stylist who would personally curate collections of clothing based on their needs. Trunks could be received by mail or in-person at one of the clubhouses accompanied by an in-person fitting. I joined the design and marketing team soon after it was acquired by Nordstrom, and the business was rapidly expanding its services to outfit women, launching a custom clothing brand, and opening new locations outside of Chicago, among other initiatives.
Around the time I joined, the creative team developed a company rebrand to reflect new audiences and business initiatives. I worked closely with a team of 4-5 designers to expand the visual identity through a range of creative needs, internally and externally among stakeholders.

Women’s Training Manual
28-page booklet distributed internally to all of the stylists to provide contextual education on women’s styling. Since Trunk Club started out as a service for men, when they expanded their product offerings to women, there was specific training that was needed to help unify terminology and operational techniques among the team.
Trunk Design
The trunk is arguably the most iconic part of the Trunk Club experience. Once you’re paired with a stylist, they would curate a selection of items based on your preferences and send them directly to your door.
I was tasked with designing a box big enough to hold boots. This “Boot Box” was one of a various series of other boxes including briefcase, treasure chest, mini lunch box, and the suit box.

Trunk Club Custom
In addition to the trunk service, Trunk Club offered it’s own product line of custom-fitted hand-made menswear. Customers would come into a Clubhouse to meet with their stylist to get measurements and compose a suit, dress shirt, etc., of their choosing.
